Southern Sun The Cullinan

Really great experience staying in the hotel. Excellent location ,very near and walking distance to shopping areas . We were also very lucky to get a really nice room with a spectacular view . Not to forget, the Nice breakfast buffet included with plenty of choices to choose from . Moreover we were lucky enough to get a free bus to waterfront which really helped included in our booking.

The Cullinan is a superb hotel which is conveniently located to the CBD, Cape Town International Conference Center and the Waterfront. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful and the breakfast will have you coming back for more. I always enjoy my stay at the Cullinan.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing, the dining room gorgeous, we even got an easter egg. The young shef assisted my daughter, who burnt her fingers in the room with the steam of the kettle. The check gave us spray, gel and a applied it and wrapped it up, I forgot her name now, but what a ray of sunshine she was. restaurant staff all great. The friendliest front desk team I have came across. The centre display Easter table was so beautiful, and we were super surprised with the sweet selection from 4 - 6pm. The pool looks great, staff very helpful too. My granddaughter of 6 called and ordered her own meal and also asked why there were no kiddies meals. The gave her the options and she ordered her staple, chicken strips and chips, it was seriously good and tender. I would personally like this message to go to the GM please, as I worked for Southern Sun for 9 years and I was super proud of my previous Employer. PS It is time for the hotel exterior to be painted, yellow was from the beginning not the best choice, it opened in my days as Hotel Sales & Marketing Manager and Key Accounts Mng. Although the bathrooms were very tidy, I do think that a modern look will work better with the current interiors. The black carpets was especially beautiful in the corridors. Congratulations, very proud of the Cullinan. We will be back for a spoil night or weekend away.

The hotel is across the road from the conference centre. An excellent hotel with a comprehensive breakfast menu. Ebrahim at the concierge desk went out of his was to assist us. The spa on the ground floor is superb-perfect for a relaxing massage. The hotel has a nice pool and a deck to reax on. The hotel is an easy 15 min walk to the waterfront provides a nice perspective when waking during daytimes. rather use their bus services in the evenings. I like the view of the waterfront from my room.

We loved the friendly staff, great location, and attention to detail. Janaid at reception was so kind and made us feel extremely welcome. He even arranged for a special birthday 🎂 treat for our son, who celebrated his birthday at the hotel. The complimentary shuttle service is also great if you want to get to the Waterfront safely and back to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was good with a wide selection of food options for the whole family. I can honestly recommend this hotel for families traveling with kids in the city.
